Media workshop for school kids

Media workshop project days: How can I make a video animation film?

A project run by the “Dr. Georg Stiftung Kunst und Kultur” in cooperation with lichtsicht

The workshop encourages pupils from grades 5 to 8 to produce their own visual worlds and stories using simple digital cameras. Professional artists and media educators will give them assistance. During the workshop, the children and youths will not only learn to use various visual techniques, but will also discover that improvisation, free play and associative powers are essential for enabling creative processes and, therefore, also for the cinematic realisation of exciting visual narratives.

The pupils, their parents, friends and relations are invited to watch the resulting video films on 7 January 2012.

To kick off the official final lichtsicht event, the results of the workshop will be projected large-scale onto the southern wall of the “new salt works.” The general public is warmly invited to watch the show!

The workshop will take place at a selection of schools within the region, under the direction of Elisabeth Lumme, art and media educator, as well as Klaus Kijak, freelance artist from Osnabrück.
